An expensive repercussion of late payments is the cost of money for the biller. The larger the biller, the bigger the cost. We developed PromptPay™, a program that enables our work with large billers to reduce late payments by reframing existing payment reminders to induce prompt or early payment, particularly for payers who would readily pay earlier if nudged appropriately. This program includes running randomized controlled experiments (RCEs) to pinpoint effective reframes for targeted profiles and consistently deliver a high benefit-to-cost ratio when we scale the program to the entire customer base. PromptPay™ for a biller with an Accounts Receivable of PhP3B (USD53.6M) at 30 Days Past Due could generate a benefit of PhP260M (USD4.6) or a gain of 8.6% of the receivable amount.
